B.Sc. (Hons.) Advanced Agriculture

B.Sc. (Hons.) Advanced Agriculture at FORTUNA ADVANCED INSTITUTE OF RESEARCH & STUDIES aims to provide students knowledge, core practical skills and competencies in agriculture and related fields. Being an agro-based economy, India provides vast job opportunities for B.Sc. (Hons.) in agriculture production, management, development, extension and research.

SCOPE OF ADVANCED AGRICULTURE

The agriculture sector is undergoing a transformation driven by new technologies, which seems very promising since it will enable this primary sector to move to the next level of farm productivity and profitability. However, the adoption of advanced technologies involves uncertainty and trade-offs. According to a market analysis, the factors that would facilitate the adoption of sustainable farming technologies include better education and training of farmers, sharing of information, easy availability of financial resources, and increasing consumer demand for organic food. However, in order to take the most advantages from Agriculture 5.0, deep training needs to be delivered to users, ideally young farmers eager to learn and apply modern technologies to agriculture and granting a generational renewal still to come.

The B.Sc. (Hons.) Advanced Agriculture program aims to train the students in the recent real-time & innovative sciences and technologies through a well-designed combination of course-ware and its application on real-world scenarios. This course is an undergraduate course that can be completed in 4 years.
